Privacy Policy
Airlive Camera is built privacy-first. The app has no user accounts, runs no analytics or tracking, and collects no personal data. Your video and audio never reach Airlive's servers — we operate no backend that receives media.
The short version
- No account, no login.

- Video and audio stream peer-to-peer over your local network to your own Mac — never to us.
- Recordings stay on your device; you control them.
Who this applies to
This policy covers Airlive Camera for iOS. Its companion app, Airlive Bridge for macOS, receives camera streams on a Mac you own. Media moves only between your own devices on your own network.
Device permissions we request (and why)
These are on-device capabilities the app asks iOS for — not server-side data collection. Airlive never receives the underlying data.
Camera & Microphone
Used to capture and stream your video and audio. This is the app's core function; without it the app cannot work.
Photo Library (add-only, optional)
Requested only if you choose "Photo Library" as the save location for your recordings. If you don't, recordings are saved in the app's private sandbox instead. The app uses add-only access — it can save new recordings but cannot read or browse your existing photos.
Local Network
Used to discover Airlive receivers — Airlive Bridge, Airlive Studio, or the Airlive plugin for OBS
Studio — on the same Wi-Fi/LAN (via Bonjour, service type _airlive._tcp) and to stream
video and audio directly to them over a local TCP connection. This traffic stays on your network.
Motion
Used on-device for the horizon level indicator in the camera view. The motion data is read and used entirely on your iPhone — it never leaves the device and is never sent anywhere.
Where your data goes
Video and audio are sent peer-to-peer over your local network to your own Mac running Airlive Bridge, Airlive Studio, or OBS Studio with the Airlive plugin. They never pass through, and are never stored on, Airlive servers — Airlive operates no backend that receives media. There is no cloud upload.
Storage & deletion
Recordings are stored locally — either in the app's private sandbox or in your Photo Library, if you chose that as the save location. Airlive keeps no copy. You can delete recordings at any time from your device; deletion is entirely under your control.
Payments
The app offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Remove Watermark") that permanently removes the on-air watermark, processed through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles all payments; the app does not collect or store any payment information. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any of your devices via "Restore Purchases".
Third parties
The app shares no data with third parties — there is no advertising, data brokering, or third-party analytics inside it. The only external parties involved at all are:
- Apple — distributes the app through the App Store and, if you buy the watermark-removal purchase, processes the payment through StoreKit. Apple's handling of any data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard server access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) when you visit these pages. This applies to the website only — the app itself still collects nothing and has no backend.
Children's privacy
Airlive Camera is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children — or, indeed, from anyone.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because Airlive does not collect personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, export, correct, or delete. The content you create (your recordings) lives on your own device, under your control.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
