Three ways to get an Airlive camera into OBS — pick the one that fits your setup.

One-time install

  1. Download Airlive for OBS from the Downloads page — it adds the Airlive Camera and Airlive Bridge sources.
  2. Run the installer and restart OBS.
  3. In OBS, click + under Sources — you'll see the Airlive sources listed below.

OBS 30+ · macOS · keep every device on the same local Wi-Fi. Screen Mirroring is a separate plugin.

Airlive Camera

Best quality · remote control

iPhones on the Airlive Camera app — the cleanest, remote-controllable feed.

  1. In OBS: Sources → + → Airlive Camera.
  2. On the iPhone: Airlive Camera → Live, pick this Mac.
  3. In the source's Properties: delay, live settings, and control (tally, lens, exposure).
  4. Optional: set a receiver password.

The Airlive Camera app is coming soon to the App Store. Until it ships, bring any iPhone in with Screen Mirroring (below).

Airlive Bridge

Switch several cameras · NDI / RTSP / SRT out

Running Airlive Bridge as a switcher? It sends its Program to OBS.

  1. Install Airlive Bridge on the same Mac.
  2. In OBS: Sources → + → Airlive Bridge. Connects automatically — no settings.
  3. Whatever you CUT to Program in Bridge shows here.

Airlive Screen Mirroring

No app · any iPhone · whole screen

Any iPhone, no app — mirror the screen over AirPlay. Also how you bring in Blackmagic Camera or any other app: set it to a clean feed and mirror.

  1. Install the Airlive Screen Mirroring plugin — a separate download.
  2. In OBS: Sources → + → Airlive Screen Mirroring.
  3. On the iPhone: Control Center → Screen Mirroring → pick this Mac.

Troubleshooting

Stuck?

The source doesn't appear in the + menu

OBS wasn't restarted after install. Quit OBS fully and reopen.

The iPhone doesn't see the Mac

Both must be on the same Wi-Fi. Check the network allows local discovery — some guest networks block it.

The Airlive Bridge source stays black

Nothing is on Program in Bridge yet — CUT a camera to Program.

Bridge still shows “Add Plugin in OBS”

OBS isn't running, or the source isn't added yet — do the steps under Airlive Bridge above.
